Is it time to backup your data?

It has probably happened to all of you. One day your computer is working fine, the next day your hard drive crashes. I can still hear that terrible clicking and grinding sound of my last hard drive dying and all my precious data lost. How smart would I have been if I had just backed up my data a week (or even a month) earlier. The truth is that it is way more cost-effective and less time consuming to perform regular backups of your irreplaceable digital life. With the plummeting costs of DVD burners and external hard drives, there is no reason why a weekly backup should not be on your regular work schedule. I like to do it every Friday, but it always seems there is a mad dash to get everything done before the weekend. Whatever day you do I HIGHLY recommend making it a priority to ensure that your files are saved in more than one location. If you need help, I encourage you to contact your local computer nerd.
